
2021-2023 CCCA Board of Directors
Central Coast Chinese Association (CCCA) members elected the 2021-2023 Board of Directors during the annual member meeting on September 25th, 2021. The elected Board of Directors will serve a 2-year term beginning October 1, 2021.
The Board of Directors appointed Keith Kwong as the President of CCCA for 2021-2023 term.
Meet the Board of Directors. Names are in alphabetical order.

Keith Kwong (President) was born in Balikpapan, Indonesia and grow up from a large family with eleven siblings. Both of his parents were born in Guang Zhou, China and they migrated to Indonesia during late 1930’s. He immigrated to the Sacramento, CA in 1969. Keith attended Sacramento State University of California and received his BSEE Degree in 1981. He spent his entire career for the Department of Defense and worked as a Space Launch Communication Engineer for Vandenberg Space Force Base until he retired in 2021. He is currently active as a Real Estate Agent.

Quping Dai moved to San Luis Obispo with her husband who worked at Cal Poly in 1996. Their two kids are raised up at SLO, their son just graduated from the college and is going to graduate school, and their daughter just entered SLO High School. She really enjoyed the life at SLO, especially hiking and music. She was one of a few Chinese people who witnessed the growth of Chinese community in SLO. A lot of us more or less got her help or advice in many ways. She served on the Board for 2015-2016 and 2016-2018 terms, in charge of Food and Environment Safety. She organized the kitchen volunteers to make delicious food for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 CCCA Chinese New Year Celebration.

Shirley Li moved to San Francisco from Xianghai in 2001 and has recently moved to Central Coast. She is retired and spent her spare time teaching Chinese and working as a volunteer. Shirley likes cooking, yoga, and meditation. She loves working with local Chinse organizations and participates in social works. Shirley was one of the founders of the first free English magazine in China when she was in Shanghai. She studied in San Francisco City College and worked as the Assistant Teacher at Galileo High School of San Francisco. She also taught Chinse at a local Chinse school when she lives in San Francisco.

Xiaoying Rong is a Professor at Cal Poly’s Graphic Communication Department. She is originally from Beijing China. She moved to San Luis Obispo with her husband in 2005, who also works at Cal Poly. Their son was born in 2007 and raised up in SLO. Xiaoying worked as a volunteer for the past three Chinese New Year celebrations. She joined the Board of Directors and served as Public Relation (PR) in 2015, designed and developed new platforms for CCCA communication to the public, including CCCA webpage, newsletters, and other marketing materials. She was the Co-President of CCCA for 2016-2018 term. Her favorite quote is “Do or do not. There is no try.”

Luke Xing (President) moved to Central Coast in 2005. Has been running Senkox Technologies Inc. for the past 10+ years. The company provides safety monitoring systems for industries. The systems are installed in industrial facilities and hazardous manufacturing equipment. Before moving to Central Coast, Luke worked at John Hopkins University and Washington University in Saint Loius for a few years. He also received Alexander Von Humboldt Scholarship and worked in Germany for a few years. Luke received his Ph.D. degree in China.
